Last week, Chancellor Sharon L. Gaber announced her plans to launch the 2021 strategic plan for the next five to 10 years at UNC Charlotte. Chancellor Gabor says the strategic plan is still in the beginning stages and will be officially approved by the Board of Trustees in April 2021.
The strategic plan will map how UNC Charlotte uses resources to advance campus academics and finances throughout the upcoming decade.
The strategic planning committee is co-chaired by George Banks and Pinku Mukherjee. The 22 committee members are composed of various students, faculty and staff to provide different perspectives.
Chancellor Gaber implores students to participate in the beginning stages of the strategic plan by taking the online survey and attending the virtual discovery sessions. Students have the opportunity to use their voice over the next few months to influence the direction of the strategic plan.
“During my first months as Chancellor, I have received consistent feedback affirming UNC Charlotte’s outstanding academic programs and culture of innovation, as well as its potential to become even greater,” Chancellor Gabor told the Niner Times.
“We have begun a new planning process to set the future direction of our university over the next ten years. This is an exciting opportunity for all of our campus community to be involved.
“On behalf of the strategic planning committee, I urge everyone to participate and ensure your voice is heard.”
